Sailor moon variant drawings, 2010/2009

These are two of the very first manga drawings I did, probably around 2009-2010. They were strongly influenced by the Sailor Moon series.

pastel colouring experiment.

I was bored over the holidays so I drew this, I wanted to try using pastels out along with my markers.

Candy Candy sketch

This is a photo copy of a sketch I did of candy candy in 2010/2009. nice to see I've possibly improved? Maybe not... Found it in a pile of old print outs so I must not have liked it that much...

Fook Yi, Hello Pi. Again.

Yeah, I was bored so here's another Fook Yi sketch. Not sure what his korean name is...

Hello Pi! Fook Yi (Chinese name)

This is probably a manga very few people have heard of, I think it was written by a Korean, it was orginally called Anyeong-haseyeong Pi or something like that, my korean isn't great... Anyhow, this is one of the incarnations of the chicken, a main character in the story.

Georgie; Kyoko Mizuki

I don't know how many people still know Candy Candy, but this manga is by the same author, its lesser known, though, I think... I think this manga is called Georgie (I'm not sure, but at least the main character is Georgie...) anyhow, found this picture in a candy candy art collection book and drew it.

Lia - Ocean of Secrets, Sophie-chan

I recently discovered an artist who puts her work online called 'Sophie-Chan' (ソフィちゃん)I really liked her drawings and I was impressed that someone of such a young age would be writing a manga series. I was prompted by a series of fan art to create my own 'fan-art' of Lia from Sophie-chan's manga series, 'Ocean of Secrets' and here it is ^_^
Time taken: about 1 hr (It was a bit rushed)
I don't like the eyes very much and I accidentally mucked up the skin, but whatever ^_^
Materials: Letraset Promarker and flexmarker and inscribe pastels.

Looking at it now, I feel that the layout is similar to one of the pictures she posted on her deviantart, but then, I am better at copying than taking someone else's character and improvising...
